Local Programs

The New Hampshire Local Government Center (LGC) began as the New Hampshire Municipal Association (NHMA) in 1941, organized for the purpose of exchanging information to advance more efficient and effective local government. It was reorganized as LGC in 2003 and now includes NHMA as well as HealthTrust, a nonprofit employee benefits pool; Property-Liability Trust, which administers claims for member groups; and Workers’ Compensation Program, which manages claims and coordinates employee care.

The LGC Energy Efficiency page provides information and links to an array of organizations, tools and funding options available to help municipalities and schools reduce their energy use.
