Neighbors Warming Neighbors
The Dunbarton Energy Committee has a program to provide Button-up Services to Seniors and Income Disadvantaged residents called Neighbors Warming Neighbors. DEC has expanded Neighbors Warming Neighbors to include all income levels to develop more interest and help Dunbarton residents begin developing their own energy efficiency improvement program.
Mission
– Improve energy efficiency in our community.
– Raise awareness of available energy programs through public education.
– Assist homeowners in planning their energy efficiency improvements.
– Build a community that cares for its neighbors and Seniors.
The Dunbarton Energy Committee participated in a webinar sponsored by the New England Grassroots Environment Fund. The webinar archive is Energy Efficiency for Low-Income People: The Importance of Grassroots Outreach and Bob Ray of the DEC described their Neighbors Warming Neighbors program (<< click to download the presentation slides).
Dunbarton Energy Committee received a grant from the New England Grassroots Environment Fund to purchase an IR camera used in NWN. The NH Local Energy Work Group published this NWN profile.
Neighbors Warming Neighbors documents include the NWN program announcement, our Walkthrough_Audit_Checklist,
some good Button-up energy video Listings, and a NWN Sample Image Report that shows what the homeowner receives after the home visit.
If you are interested in having a NWN home survey, email energy@dunbarton-energy.org.
